KIA - Wrap Around Care

Session Times:

Breakfast Club: 7.45 a.m.- 8.50 a.m.

Afterschool Club: 3.20 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.

            Dear Families,

We hope that you all have enjoyed the summer break, not much sun but at least it was warm!.

We are looking forward to returning to school and resuming our after school club and back to some  sort of normality. We will be providing sessions from 3.20pm until 6pm every week day term time,  including Fridays. Parents will ring the KIA doorbell located at school reception and we will bring  your child to you.

We understand that we all need to do what we can to keep everyone safe so hand washing and  regular cleaning will continue to be a priority throughout our sessions and children will be reminded  to cough and sneeze into their elbow and dispose of any tissues they use immediately. We will have  windows open as a way of ventilating our room.

As you know, children will no longer be in ‘Bubbles’ - hooray!! There will be no requirement for face  coverings in the school grounds and KIA staff will no longer wear them during sessions. The KIA  team will have access to twice weekly lateral flow tests.

The government guidance on self-isolation has changed with it being no longer necessary for anyone  to self-isolate if they come into contact with someone who tests positive for Covid but we do request  that anyone with symptoms remains at home and has a PCR test. Children, staff and other adults  should follow public health advice on when to self-isolate and what to do. They should not come into  school if they have symptoms, have had a positive test result in the last 10 days, or other reasons  requiring them to stay at home due to the risk of them passing on COVID-19 (for example, they are  required to quarantine). If anyone at KIA develops COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, we will send them home and they should follow public health advice.

Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with  COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply: • are fully vaccinated (at least 2 weeks following second vaccine dose)

• Covid-19 vaccine trial

• medical reasons

We will continue to work within schools risk assessment as well as our own checklists.

Please can all bookings be made via text to the club phone 07766 015347 or the school office. Texts can be sent anytime. But if you would like to speak to me, then after-school hours would be appreciated, as I have limited time to answer the phone through a working day.

If you need our facility at short notice, and I have been unable to access the phone, please call the school office to book in. We will have space available for your child/children.

Below you will find the pricing structure for this academic year.

I have been asked, once again, for all invoices to paid in advance or 'pay as you go'  to cover our overheads- especially so during this unpredictable time. Bills will be sent out electronically and we ask that payments be made by BACS or voucher.

I will be putting photo's on here over the year so you can see what your child/children have been doing. We have great activities on offer each night for your children to participate in.  Our team is here to make their time safe, fun, engaging and enjoyable.

If you would like any more information please drop me a message and I can call you back.

We constantly monitor the current Government Guidance and will adapt how the club runs in accordance with this.

The hall will be kept ventilated and children will be encouraged to continue with good hand, nose and mouth hygiene, as they have over the last 18 months.

The pricing structure for this academic year September 2021-2022 is as follows:

Price 3.20 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.                                                                   £4.90

Price 4.30 - 5.30                                                                                   £4.20

Price for whole session                                                                      £10.00

Breakfast Club, whatever time you arrive                                            £5.00

Registration fee for casual and regular users of the Club                  £10.00

This covers the whole family for life and will be added to

the first invoice. It will be a one off payment.

Late collection fee:                                                                £5.25 per child for every 5 mins late.

This covers staff to stay behind with the child. Persistent lateness will result the place being suspended.

  • We do NOT charge if a child is ill.
  • We DO charge if a child is at another club and you want to retain the space or is coming from another club to KIA. This is because the space is having to be held and not offered to another child.
  • You will be charged the full price for the place you have booked if less than 24 hours notice is given.
  • If you book a place then the time frame booked will be paid for even if you collect earlier.
  • We are not able to offer part hours.

We appreciate flexibility is crucial for working parents which is why our pricing structure is constructed as above.

We have spent hours deliberating over keeping the hourly rate as low as possible whilst balancing our rising overheads.
