Our Journey - When the Adults Change
The growing challenge schools are seeing in every classroom is what is called by some as ‘low level’ disruption; talking over peers and adults, constant moving around the classroom – looking to sharpen pencils, get a drink, go to the toilet – all somehow seeming to involve going the long way and chatting to peers. It can be the play that goes that little bit too far, the unkindness towards others, being disrespectful to each other and adults.
We are a primary school and we expect some, if not all of these to happen at some point. What is concerning education as a whole is that it appears that some children do not see this that these behaviours may not be appropriate or social and do not then appear to see the need to adapt or stop the behaviour. We need to work together to support our children to thrive academically and socially.
