Term 5
Gosh, Term 5 already! Where has the year gone?
We have some exciting things to look forward to in this very short, fun term! We have SATS week beginning on the 11th May, where our Eagles will be invited in for SATS breakfast before completing their tests in the mornings. The week will be filled with lots of fun revision type learning before ending with… the ‘Celebration’ Sleepover on Friday!
In English this term, we will continue working with the fantastic narrative poetry book ‘The Final Year’ before moving onto ‘Holes’ by Louie Sachar. In Maths we will be exploring statistics and shape whilst consolidating all the topics we have studied so far in this academic year.
We will begin our Crime and Punishment topic this term in History which will continue to the end of the school year. It is a very exciting topic where our Eagles get to explore crime and punishment through the ages from the Romans, all the way through to the modern day.
In RE we will be exploring ‘How do religions help people to live through the good and bad times? This unit allows the Eagles to explore religious and non-religious responses to life events and considers why some people find that religion can help them celebrate the good times in life but also cope with difficult times.
PE days will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. We will be doing football and athletics this term. I look forward to seeing you in your lovely new PE tops.
Another jampacked Term ahead – let’s get started!
