Welcome back to term 2, which is a very exciting term with the lead up to Christmas. Our topic this term is ‘I wonder how people celebrate?’. During the term we will be thinking about lots of different celebrations and special times including Bonfire night, Diwali, Remembrance day, Advent and Christmas. We will share our experiences of these different celebrations. During the term we will also be learning songs and lines for our Christmas play that we will perform for you in December.
Thank you for joining us in our phonics workshops last term. This term in our phonics sessions we will continue to learn set 1 sounds, and as the the children become more confident we will be sending home their first reading books. We will also still be sending home a sharing book each week for you to share with your child which will help develop their love of reading. Thank you for your support with this.
