Term 5
Welcome back, we are more than halfway through year 3!
This term is about the Romans on a Rampage, nutrition in science, and printing in Art.
We will read Empire's End: A roman story by Leila Rasheed in our reading sessions, which will also inform our writing in English.
We will be writing a mystery narrative and a Haiku based on the Romans.
Maths this term is heavily based on telling the time and angles and properties of shapes.
We are lucky enough to have a special visitor in our music lessons who will teach us how to play the recorder.
We will be thinking about the meaning of festivals around the world during our R.E. sessions.
In Science, the Kestrels will be learning about nutrition, skeletons, and animals. This will include looking into the nutrients we need to stay healthy and how our muscles work.
Our new PE days will be Monday and Tuesday this term. We have athletics this term.
As always, drop us a line on dojo if you have any questions.
Thanks, Miss Healey and Mrs. Cherry.
Homework tasks will continue to be given out every Monday. Maths.co.uk is our maths task every 2 weeks.
Spelling is on a 3-week cycle - weeks 1, 2, and 3 learning the spellings and weeks 4, 5, and 6 revising the rules and putting them into sentences. Our Spag.com continues on a 2-week cycle.
