Fossils
This week we are heading to an imaginary Quarry where you are going to be making some fossils!
You might already know that a fossil is the remains or impression of a prehistoric plant or animal, that has been naturally preserved.
Perhaps you have some fossils at home that you have collected on a trip to Ketton Quarry with school, or on a walk with your family.
I thought that you might like to have a go at making your own fossils at home.
What would you like to preserve? You could make an impression of a shell, a leaf, a lego brick or your favourite toy's footprints (check that the item is washable first).
You will need
- 200g salt
- 150g flour
- 150g coffee grounds
- 100-120ml cold coffee or water
